🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
In April 1995, three witnesses in Saint-Sylvain-d'Anjou (Maine-et-Loire, France) observed an unidentified object. They described an oval-shaped, gray mass that was silent and quickly disappeared toward the northeast. Although they found nothing at the location, the gendarmerie investigated the case. The GEIPAN, reevaluating old cases, proposed it might have been a mobile discotheque projector, common in the 80s and 90s. However, key data such as sketches or angular measurements are missing, making an accurate assessment difficult.
The most plausible hypothesis points to a laser projector or similar device, but a red point observed by the witnesses does not align with typical laser-related testimonies. Although a reasonable explanation exists, the lack of reliable information and the uniqueness of the red point leave some mystery. The case was classified as "C" due to insufficient information, and no firm conclusion can be drawn about whether it was a conventional phenomenon or something unusual.
