Unusual UFO and effects in Fonties-d'Aude

Summary

In May 1995, a couple in Aude observed a dark object resembling a helicopter. The object remained stationary without making noise or leaving a trail, illuminated the ground several times, and then left at a moderate speed. The couple's dogs hid without barking and later suffered from vomiting and diarrhea. The man felt very tired and his wife experienced health issues. Vegetation illuminated by the object showed signs of degeneration. A neighbor was hospitalized, prompting the witness to contact the Civil Security to investigate possible links. The investigation could not identify the object or establish any connection between the sighting and the reported effects. It was suggested that symptoms could be due to factors like heat or medical treatments, and other plants outside the affected area also showed similar symptoms. Despite this, the phenomenon remains unexplained.
