🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On June 25, 1995, gendarmes on night duty in the Côte-d'Or region of France spotted a very bright, luminous ball that passed by very quickly before disappearing. The phenomenon was so brief that the witnesses could not gather more details. The case was classified as "B" by the GEIPAN, indicating insufficient information for a more precise evaluation.
Although no additional data was recorded, the gendarmes considered the possibility that they had witnessed an atmospheric entry, such as a meteorite or a space object. While such events are not uncommon, they are often not reported due to their fleeting nature. Nevertheless, the case adds another entry to France's database of unidentified aerial phenomena.
