🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On January 9, 1996, several witnesses in the Cher region observed strange luminous circles with multiple bright points inside. The objects appeared to rotate in the sky, sparking curiosity and confusion. The investigation conducted by the GEIPAN concluded that the phenomenon had no connection to unidentified flying objects. Instead, it was determined that the circles were the reflection of a nearby casino's projector on the clouds. This case is a classic example of how artificial light and weather conditions can create optical illusions mistaken for unexplained phenomena.
