Louhans 1997, UFO witness and hoax

Summary

On January 14, 1997, a witness in Louhans (France) claimed to have seen an ovoidal figure with a triangular head while jogging. According to his account, the being fled as he approached, dropping a red object that the witness collected. Later, he presented this object as evidence of an "alien remains". However, the GEIPAN investigation quickly concluded that the testimony was fabricated. There were no physical clues supporting the story, and the case was classified as a hoax. Often, UFO testimonies are hard to verify, but in this case, the lack of objective evidence and the implausible nature of the story led investigators to dismiss it.
