UFO in Montpellier 1997

Summary

In February 1997, several witnesses in Montpellier observed unusual aerial phenomena. On March 17, an unidentified object or spacecraft was seen by witnesses and aircraft crews. It was described as a green object with a descending trajectory, leading to speculation about a space object entering the atmosphere. Later that evening, around 8:30 PM, a farmer observed two white lights that turned off when he tried to illuminate them with his flashlight. Then, a direct light pointed at him, as if observing him. The object ascended and disappeared rapidly without making any noise. Another witness reported an elongated orange light phenomenon, but no aircraft in the area at that time noticed anything. While the first case was explained as a space object, the second remains unexplained.
