🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
In April 1997, a witness in Nice observed a slow-moving yellow light from their office for 20 to 25 minutes. Although the report was submitted to GEIPAN in 2009, the description initially suggested a high-altitude balloon. However, weather conditions that day indicated winds from the southwest, which did not align with the observed trajectory. No additional witnesses or records confirmed the nature of the phenomenon. Due to the time elapsed and lack of conclusive evidence, the case was classified as "C," meaning insufficient information to determine its origin.
