Triangular UFO in Lyon 1997

Summary

In August 1997, three witnesses in Lyon observed a triangular object moving silently at low altitude. Equipped with two powerful lights, one of them briefly pointed toward the witnesses. One of them reported seeing two figures inside a transparent cabin. Initially classified as a UFO case (class D), the GEIPAN re-examined it using new methods and accumulated experience. The lack of noise and the absence of visible blades or exhaust systems raised doubts, but other elements like green and red lights and the location (a common area for helicopters) suggest a conventional explanation. Ultimately, the case was reclassified as A, attributed to a helicopter.
