In September 1997, several witnesses in Billom, France, reported a luminous object in the sky. The phenomenon was silent and moved very slowly, appearing about the size of a star. It was surrounded by a reddish halo and flickered in multiple colors. The observation lasted about an hour and a half, suggesting it could have been a celestial body or an unusual astronomical event. Despite the duration and clarity of the reports, no sounds or other anomalies were recorded. Researchers concluded it was likely a moving celestial object.
