🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
In September 1997, a witness in Boulougne-Billancourt observed a triangular object with lights moving slowly across the sky. Initially classified as unexplained, the GEIPAN later re-evaluated the case. The witness, an editor of a mystery magazine, reported vibrations and camera malfunctions. However, inconsistencies between his initial testimony and a later account, combined with the lack of physical evidence, led to the rejection of the "unexplained" classification. The GEIPAN concluded the testimony lacked sufficient reliability to support an extraordinary observation. The publication of the case in his own magazine also raised doubts about his personal motivation.
