🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
In June 1998, a driver in Hérault experienced an unusual event. While driving, his car suddenly stopped, and upon exiting the vehicle, he observed a green light and a conical object floating above the ground. According to his testimony, he felt paralyzed and saw a strange figure with an oval head and four fingers entering the object. After the incident, the witness had a significant memory gap and found no physical traces of the event. Although initially classified as case D, the GEIPAN reevaluated the information and concluded that the testimony was insufficient to consider the phenomenon unexplained. The lack of objective evidence and the inability to corroborate the experience with another witness led to reclassifying the case as C, meaning the testimony is not exploitable.
