Summary

In August 1998, a woman in Croissanville observed a white light crossing the sky. The GEIPAN investigated the case and concluded that the light corresponded to the Mir space station, which was clearly visible at that time. Although an American satellite-guided drone flight was mentioned for August 22, the most plausible explanation pointed to Mir. This case illustrates how space objects can be mistaken for unexplained phenomena.
