🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On September 1998, several witnesses in Le Havre observed three bright points aligned with a brighter globe between the second and third. The GEIPAN investigation concluded that this was likely Jupiter and three of its satellites, which remained in a favorable alignment for observation throughout the winter. Although initially intriguing, the scientific explanation clarified the phenomenon without the need for unconventional hypotheses. The consistency of the testimonies and celestial positioning confirmed the astronomical nature of the event.
