Summary

On September 18, 1998, several witnesses in Artzheim (France) observed a luminous oval-shaped object following a clear and defined trajectory. The object emitted regular flashes that intermittently illuminated it, drawing the attention of the witnesses. One of them managed to film the event before the object moved away and disappeared. The case was investigated by the GEIPAN, which concluded that the object was not an unexplained phenomenon, but rather a zeppelin-shaped airship used for advertising purposes.
