In December 1999, a witness in Tours observed four bright white points aligned in the sky. Three formed a triangle while the fourth circled around them before they all realigned and quickly moved eastward. The phenomenon repeated in March 2000, causing some confusion. Although the possibility of Thai lanterns released after a private celebration was considered, it could not be confirmed due to the lack of weather data from that time. Without conclusive evidence, the case was classified as "C" by the GEIPAN.
