🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On January 7, 2000, a pilot en route to Casablanca spotted two balloons at a low distance from his aircraft. One was blue and the other white, both carrying a payload resembling a radar reflector. The sighting raised some concern, prompting a check with Météo-France, which ruled out weather balloons. Additionally, an inquiry with the military yielded no new information. While the nature of the objects (balloons) seemed clear, their origin could not be determined. This case, classified as "B" by the GEIPAN, remains unresolved, adding to the list of unexplained aerial phenomena.
