Summary

On June 27, 2000, around 11:00 PM, several witnesses in Meurthe-et-Moselle observed objects with lights of different colors flying above houses. The trajectories varied depending on the observation point, which caused confusion among the witnesses. Although some described flying saucer shapes, investigators concluded that it was likely Mirage 2000 aircraft performing maneuvers in the area. These aerial exercises continued until 2:00 AM, which explains the presence of moving lights in the sky. The case was classified by the GEIPAN as category B, indicating a plausible explanation but not fully confirmed.
