🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On October 8, 2000, while an airplane was in the ascent phase heading to Grenoble, the pilot and co-pilot observed a round object passing just a few meters from the cockpit. The object moved at an extremely high speed, raising concerns about a possible collision with the plane's tail. Despite subsequent investigations, the object could not be identified. Possible explanations such as a balloon or a large bird, like a goose, were ruled out. This incident, though brief, posed a risk to flight safety and remains an unsolved mystery.
