Summary

In April 2001, the crew of a DC10 en route to Bordeaux had an unusual experience. While in flight, they observed a green light descending for between 3 and 4 seconds. The object followed a trajectory that suggested a possible atmospheric reentry. Although seen at an estimated distance of over 10 kilometers, the object was clearly noticed by the crew. The phenomenon was brief but enough to catch the attention of those on board.

The observation was recorded by the GEIPAN, the French organization responsible for investigating unidentified aerial phenomena. Although no definitive conclusion was reached about the nature of the object, the case was classified as category B, indicating that a conventional explanation was not ruled out. However, the description of a green light in motion did not easily fit typical patterns of known objects. This type of report, though common, remains valuable for understanding unconventional aerial phenomena.
