Summary

On July 5, 2002, between 10 PM and 10:30 PM, multiple witnesses in Vaucluse and Bouches-du-Rhône observed white lights aligned and moving uniformly. Some reported between 6 and 8 lights arranged in a circle, line, or two triangles. Although details varied, all witnesses agreed the lights moved together in a synchronized way. Observations lasted from a few minutes to an hour. In 2008, similar phenomena were investigated and attributed to the Patrouille de France, prompting a reevaluation of this case. It was ultimately concluded that these were also sightings of the Patrouille de France, a spectacular aerial formation.
