Fire-colored ball over Landes in 2002

Summary

On November 1, 2002, around 10 PM, a witness in Landes reported seeing a fire-colored ball with several blinking lights. The object moved back and forth before disappearing after about 30 seconds. According to the report, pilots also seem to have observed the phenomenon. Despite multiple sightings, the object could not be identified and was classified as an unexplained phenomenon (category D) by the GEIPAN.
