Summary

On February 8, 2004, just before 7:00 PM, a witness in the Indre-et-Loire region of France observed a bright red object falling rapidly from the sky. The object was described as incandescent, indicating high heat. Although it might initially seem like an unidentified flying object, investigators concluded it was likely a meteorite. Such events, while surprising, are common and are usually explained by meteorites entering Earth's atmosphere. The GEIPAN classification of "B" indicates that the case is not considered an unexplained phenomenon.
