In October 2004, two witnesses in Casteljaloux (France) observed a cylindrical object just 150 meters from their home. The object, about 1 meter thick and 1.50 meters in circumference, displayed bright white and red lights. Without making any noise, it slowly ascended from a nearby property, leaving no trace behind, and disappeared into the clouds. The detailed description of the object and its unusual behavior caught the attention of investigators.
The GEIPAN classified the case as category C, indicating no conventional explanations were found. Despite the proximity of the phenomenon and the clear description, no further data or physical evidence was obtained.
