On July 7, 2005 at 14:14, the pilot of flight AF 7705 reported a gray object remaining nearly stationary near the aircraft while approaching Charles de Gaulle Airport. The object did not resemble a weather balloon or any known type of aircraft. Despite its proximity, no radar echo was recorded. Air authorities conducted an investigation on the ground but found no explanation. The case was classified as "C" due to lack of information. It remains unclear if other pilots also saw the object.
The description of the object did not match typical balloons, either in shape or color. The possibility of a balloon escaping from Eurodisney was mentioned, but this also did not align with the observed characteristics. The report concluded that further investigation was not possible, so the case was closed without resolution.
