Triangular UFO over Dompaire in 2007

Summary

On the night of March 30 to 31, 2007, near Dompaire in the Vosges, four young witnesses repeatedly observed white and red lights in a stormy sky. These lights formed a metallic triangle that moved in variable patterns and approached their vehicle at an altitude of 15 to 20 meters. The observation lasted from 8:00 PM until 2:00 AM, leaving the witnesses deeply impressed. During the investigation, it was discovered that a cargo plane landed in Epinal at 1:58 AM, and that Hello AG was conducting training exercises with a MD 90 (DC9) around the same time. This plane, coming from Zurich, performed 30 touch-and-go landings at Epinal's runway after detecting technical issues in the afternoon, and repeated these maneuvers between 7:47 PM and 9:16 PM. The final departure to Zurich took place at 9:45 PM. Given the context, it is likely that the witnesses mistook the plane's light for a streetlamp or a car, as they had done before. There is no doubt that what they observed was Hello AG's DC9, with the witnesses located under the plane's path in an unusual setting around the Epinal-Mirecourt airport.
