Summary

In April 2007, at a campsite in Le Croisic, several witnesses observed a luminous ball in the sky. The phenomenon displayed color changes between green, red and blue, which attracted attention. Gendarmes investigated the case, took photos and recorded a 13-second video. An astronomer analyzed the case and concluded it was an astronomical observation. Later it was confirmed that witnesses had seen the star Sirius, very visible at that time of year. Other calls to GEIPAN also mentioned bright stars, supporting this explanation. The investigation also served as material for a television broadcast.
