Luminous ring in Vosges 2007

Summary

In July 2007, a driver and his wife observed a luminous, oval-shaped ring of a white-blue color, silently moving across the cloudy sky. The object appeared to follow their car as they traveled between Remiremont and Dinozé. Despite the fear it generated, they continued to observe it for 35 minutes while driving about 20 kilometers. The witnesses described the phenomenon in great detail, allowing investigators to accurately reconstruct the event.

The investigation revealed that a nightclub in Epinal had a laser projector (sky tracer) that projected images onto clouds. In 2007, this equipment operated on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. The testimonies matched the behavior and appearance of the light beams generated by the device. Thanks to the quality of the memories and the meticulous reconstruction, investigators concluded that this was a mysterious but explained observation, classified as a case A by the GEIPAN.
