🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
An amateur astronomer in Gers observed a luminous point moving from east to west at a constant speed. Intrigued, he recorded it with his camera, first using maximum zoom and then zooming out to follow the object. The diamond shape in the recording matched the camera's aperture, and the movement corresponded to the camera's motion. Initially classified as "C" due to lack of information, the case was re-evaluated. It was determined that the observed object was the International Space Station (ISS), visible in the area at that time. The witness did not answer additional questions, but the GEIPAN now classifies the case as "A", identifying the observation as the ISS.
