In September 2007, a witness in Tatinghem (France) reported seeing an unusual shape in a photograph, although they had not observed it directly when taking the picture. This type of case has become more common with the rise of digital cameras. A large blurry spot in the image is likely caused by a bird or insect passing close to the camera, explaining the blur. A small gray spot in the center is a minor camera defect visible in all photos. The GEIPAN classified the case as "B", indicating a likely animal passing through the camera's field of view.
