Summary

In October 2007, residents of Libourne in France were surprised to find strange black circles in their yards. These formations, which appeared overnight, had diameters ranging from 5.80 to 10 meters, with an edge about 30 centimeters wide. The gendarmerie and GEIPAN conducted investigations, collecting samples of the deposits for analysis. The results, obtained at the mycology department of the Faculty of Pharmacy in Toulouse, revealed the presence of an unusual formation of Myxomycetes of the genus *Badhamia*, organisms resembling fungi and occupying an intermediate place between the animal and plant kingdoms.
