🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On October 27, 2007, a driver in Essonne observed a luminous phenomenon moving rapidly northeast, followed by a persistent smoke trail. The sky was clear with some high clouds. The observation lasted between 1 and 2 seconds, and the witness thought it could be a meteor. No other testimonies or evidence were collected. Although the description is not unusual and the witness suggested a plausible explanation, the lack of details confirms there is not enough reliable information to rule out or confirm the hypothesis. For this reason, the GEIPAN classified the case as level C, due to insufficient reliable information.
