Rodez 2008, strange night lights observation

Summary

On the early morning of April 18, 2008, a resident of Rodez observed two lights above the city in the SSE direction. Using a telescope, he noticed the lights "vibrating" and took five hand-held photographs, with the first three spaced 15 to 20 seconds apart and the last two after about seven minutes. Only one witness account was collected. Several hypotheses were considered, including aviation, astronomical or festive events. However, the lack of precision in the testimony, the unavailability of the witness to answer GEIPAN's questions, and the poor quality of the images prevented a clear identification. The case was classified as C due to insufficient details.
