Summary

In May 2008, several people in a vehicle in Chateauguiron observed a luminous phenomenon in the sky. Two opaque white masses moved and changed shape, appearing and disappearing briefly. The witnesses, curious due to a recent article and the advanced quality of light projectors at the time, reported the event. Although initially intriguing, the GEIPAN concluded it was likely a Sky Rose type projector. An additional account from Cesson-Sévigné the following night supports this interpretation.
