Avignona sighting of luminous objects

Summary

On May 10, 2008, around 11:30 PM, a witness in Avignon observed a flash in the clear sky. Ten seconds later, they saw two orange, round objects moving toward the southeast. Although the case was only reported through a short email, GEIPAN investigators concluded it was Thai lanterns. The color, shape, and trajectory matched typical descriptions of such lanterns.
