A witness reported by email the observation of blue, more or less round luminous shapes in a cloudy sky over the Paris region. The witness included photographs, but no other testimonies were recorded about the phenomenon. The images strongly suggest that these are reflections of ground-based lighting on the clouds. Although the exact location of the witness and the direction of observation were unknown, it is common in the Paris region to have lighting from monuments, town halls, and night establishments with powerful spotlights that can blend into the cloudy background. Given the low strangeness of the case, a more in-depth investigation was not deemed necessary.
