Green light in the Toulouse sky

Summary

On November 17, 2016, two people in Pompignan noticed a strange green light in the cloudy sky. Curious, one of the witnesses took several photos of the phenomenon. Later, it was confirmed that this light was part of a laser show organized by artist Yvette Mattern in Toulouse. The event, installed on the roof of the Quai des Savoirs, took place from November 18 to 20, but rehearsals had already begun earlier. Other witnesses in the area also reported the same light, prompting the GEIPAN to investigate. After verifying with the organizer, it was confirmed that rehearsals started on November 15. The direction of the phenomenon (134°) and the distance matched the location of the show, despite the inaccuracy of smartphone compasses. Ultimately, the case was classified as "laser".
