A witness reported a brief five-second observation on July 31, 2008, at 11:15 PM in a private garden in Ramboillett. They saw nine non-blinking lights moving silently from east to west, forming three triangles that aligned into a larger triangular formation. Suddenly, the formation ascended and disappeared. The witness, deeply impressed by the event, found no conventional explanation, such as lanterns, due to the direction of movement. However, there were no other witnesses or additional evidence, limiting the investigation.
The case was reviewed by the GEIPAN, but due to the lack of concrete elements and absence of other testimonies, it was classified as "C"—unexploitable. Despite the clear perception of something unusual, the available information did not allow for a deeper analysis. Cases like this, though impactful, are hard to validate without more data.
