On July 30, 2008, two people in Paris observed an unusual object near the Eiffel Tower. From their sixth-floor apartment, they saw a dark, lens-shaped mass that was initially stationary but then moved toward Charles de Gaulle Airport. The object disappeared after a bright flash. One of the witnesses recorded the event twice, giving the testimony credibility. Although the case was not classified as highly anomalous, investigators considered it likely a balloon accidentally released into the Parisian sky, as its movement matched wind patterns.
