🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
In August 2008, a witness contacted the GEIPAN after observing two bright points that appeared like stars. The phenomenon was first seen with the naked eye and then through binoculars, remaining stationary before moving slowly. The observation occurred between 23:00 and 02:17 on the night of August 10 to 11. A similar case was recorded on August 22 at 22:35, with an object slightly lower on the horizon. Investigators concluded that the witnesses had observed the stars Arcturus and Capella, which were particularly visible during that time of year. The presence of gendarmes and other witnesses adds credibility to the account, although there are no signs of unexplained phenomena.
