🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
In September 2008, several people near the col de Braus in the Alpes-Maritimes observed unusual luminous phenomena. They reported colorful glowing spheres that seemed to move around each other, some spinning. Two of them moved in parallel at high speed without making any noise. The GEIPAN analyzed three distinct events: a bright orange point on the western horizon, possibly the star Arcturus; white glowing spheres moving chaotically, likely a laser from a nightclub; and two bright points passing quickly in a straight line, resembling a meteorite or space debris. Due to the uncertainty about the date and lack of concrete evidence, the case was classified as "C", meaning no conclusive assessment. What made the event intriguing was the sequence of these three phenomena occurring in the same timeframe.
