🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On November 7, 2008, a witness in Bois-Guillaume observed two fixed luminous points in the eastern sky. While waiting for his partner, he noticed the objects dimmed gradually. Although the GEIPAN suggested they could have been two high-altitude weather balloons, this explanation could not be confirmed due to the time elapsed. Nevertheless, the description fits the appearance of such balloons, which would still be illuminated by the sun an hour after sunset. The case was classified as B, indicating a plausible but unverified explanation.
