🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
In February 2009, a witness in Marseille observed two intriguing phenomena from their kitchen. The first, a reddish shape that quickly disappeared, was possibly a lantern. The second, a red sphere that rose and fell, was initially mistaken for the Moon. However, the witness did not mention the Moon in their testimony. The GEIPAN classified the second case as "A", attributing it to the setting Moon partially obscured by clouds. The other observations were classified as "C" due to lack of information.
