Mysterious Sphere over Eschbach in 2009

Summary

On March 30, 2009, a witness in Eschbach (France) saw fighter jets in the sky. Suddenly, a deep metallic sound was heard, followed by the appearance of a bright gray sphere hovering in the air. The sphere was larger than the jets and disappeared for a few seconds before reappearing. Frightened, the witness went home. This poorly documented case was submitted late to the GEIPAN analysis team. There is no clear link between the sound and the observation. Although the area is near an air base, where it is common for military planes to investigate objects, no flight data is available due to possible military maneuvers. Without a more thorough investigation, the case was classified as "C", meaning no supernatural or unexplained elements were found.
