On March 17, 2009, a witness on the French island of Ile-d'Yeu observed two bright points moving slowly across the sky. The objects moved in parallel, always keeping the same distance between them, without making any noise. The observation was brief and ended when the objects disappeared. At that time, the space shuttle Atlantis was approaching the International Space Station (ISS). Although the testimony matches the presence of the space shuttle, there is a discrepancy: the witness stated the objects were heading south, but also mentioned an East-Southeast direction, which does align with the ISS trajectory. Ultimately, the case was classified as "A", meaning it was attributed to the observation of the space shuttle and the ISS.
