Summary

On May 30, 2009, around 2:50 AM, a witness in Saint-Avertin observed an object passing quickly and silently from his terrace. The event lasted only three seconds, but the witness managed to see three bright orange points arranged in an equilateral triangle, with a faint orange halo between them. Despite the short duration and lack of other witnesses, the testimony is considered very consistent and detailed. The observer is experienced and provided precise information such as wind direction and speed, while refraining from speculation when uncertain.

The GEIPAN classified the case as "C", meaning no clear explanation was found, but there was not enough evidence to label it as unexplained. Although the testimony showed some similarities to a fireball observation, it could not be confirmed using the BOAM database. In summary, an intriguing case, but without conclusive answers.
