🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On May 3, 2009, a witness in Allier, France, observed a triangular object with flashing white lights and a fixed red light passing silently over their home. The object caught the witness's attention, who then called their partner, who only saw two white and one red stationary lights moving away. The first witness followed the object for about 4 to 5 minutes. No other testimonies or civilian flight records were found in the area. The GEIPAN investigation concluded the case was complex and inconsistent, as the sole witness provided an incoherent account. Additionally, the witness did not mention the moon, which was within their field of view, suggesting it may have played a role in the observation. Although scenarios like fireworks or aircraft sightings were considered, no clear explanation emerged. Ultimately, the case was classified as C due to the lack of reliable information.
