UFO sighted in Narbonne in 2009

Summary

On June 28, 2009, campers in Narbonne (France) observed luminous phenomena in the sky at around 4:30 AM. Only one of them contacted the GEIPAN, limiting the possibility of gathering more data. The objects displayed movements that did not easily match common sources of confusion, except perhaps nightclub spotlights. However, these are usually visible on cloudy days and not on clear skies. Moreover, they tend to be active for longer than described in this case.

Despite the rarity and uniqueness of the observation, the GEIPAN failed to recontact the witness for a deeper investigation. Due to the lack of additional information and multiple testimonies, the case was classified as "C", meaning unexplained but with low consistency.
