🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
In June 2009, an amateur photographer captured an image of the night sky including the Moon and an airplane contrail. While reviewing the photo a few days later, he noticed something unusual that he hadn't seen during the actual shooting. In the image appears a commercial airplane that, according to the witness, created a series of "parallel bars". These bars contrasted with the typical engine contrails, which usually appear static. The case was classified as "A" by the GEIPAN, indicating no conventional explanation was found.
