🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On July 4, 2009, around 11:40 PM, a witness in Plaisance-du-Touch observed a luminous disk crossing the sky from Bordeaux to Perpignan. The object moved in a straight line at high speed for 2 to 3 seconds. The case was classified as "B" by the GEIPAN, suggesting a possible atmospheric entry of a meteorite. However, no other witnesses or typical green or yellow trails were reported, which are commonly associated with such events. The witness's poor night vision, due to their age, is considered a possible factor in the observation.
