On July 21, 2009, around 12:40 AM, a witness in Montreuil observed four red lights moving north-south across the sky from their home. The event lasted about two minutes and was completely silent, with no sound heard. Despite the detailed description, there were no other witnesses or photographic or video evidence. Investigators suggested it could be Thai lanterns, but the characteristics—such as the red-orange color, silent movement, low altitude, and sudden disappearance—are typical of UFO sightings. The recurrence of similar phenomena led to the case being classified as probably identified.
